Doron Kam
Doron Kam is a postdoctoral researcher who joined the Gorodetsky Group in 2024.
He received his Ph.D. in Plant Science & Chemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Jerusalem, Israel) in 2022. Additionally, he holds an M.Sc. in Plant Science and a B.Sc. in Physics, both received from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Jerusalem, Israel). Prior to joining the Gorodetsky Group, he was the founding team member of Daika Ltd., a wood-based raw materials manufacturing company established based on his Ph.D. Moreover, in his first postdoctoral fellowship, he developed an innovative stereolithography-based 3D printing ink composition without a photoinitiator and utilized a 3D-printed scaffold to facilitate cell growth for tissue engineering by stereolithography 3D printing technology using ink composition containing only non-modified proteins.
In the Gorodetsky Group, Doron’s current research is focused on characterizing and engineering cephalopod-like structural coloration into living and artificial systems.
