Sungrok Wang
Sungrok Wang is a postdoctoral researcher who joined the Gorodetsky Group in 2024.
He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (Gwangju, Republic of Korea) in 2024. Additionally, he holds B.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering and in Life Science, both received from Hanyang University (Seoul, Republic of Korea) in 2015. Prior to joining the Gorodetsky Group, he worked on hydrogel-fiber-based scaffolds for 3D cell culture. Sungrok is interested in the design of ion-conductive biomaterials and the analysis of cell-material interfaces.
In the Gorodetsky Group, Sungrok’s current research is focused on cephalopod-inspired bioelectronic control of cellular signaling.
