Sidney Luke Eichelberger
Sidney Eichelberger is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, who joined the Gorodetsky Group in 2022.
He received his B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX, USA) in 2021. Prior to joining the Gorodetsky Group, he worked on the synthesis, spectroscopy, and reactivity of bioinspired metal complexes bearing redox-active ligands and on processing of feedstock polymers for in-space manufacturing. Sidney is interested in biomaterials and living systems for applications in healthcare and sustainability.
In the Gorodetsky Group, Sidney’s current research is focused on cephalopod-inspired bioelectronic control of cellular signaling.
